INSIGHTS ASSOCIATION is the sole owner of the information collected on bluebook.insightsassociation.org. In preparing the directory, INSIGHTS ASSOCIATION relies on information that is voluntarily provided by listing companies. Every effort is made to compile a complete and accurate directory of available research services and research facilities. However, INSIGHTS ASSOCIATION assumes no responsibility for errors or omissions. INSIGHTS ASSOCIATION disclaims any and all responsibility or liability for the accuracy and technical representations contained in any advertisement appearing on bluebook.insightsassociation.org.

Use of Intellectual Property and Affiliations and Endorsements

Company listings provided in bluebook.insightsassociation.org do not constitute as an INSIGHTS ASSOCIATION authorization, endorsement or affiliation of the company's brand, products or services. Listing companies in bluebook.insightsassociation.org have provided INSIGHTS ASSOCIATION a limited license to display and use any trademarks, rights, logos or any other affiliated marks in relation with its products or services as necessary to display appropriate directory information.

INSIGHTS ASSOCIATION Membership

Blue Book listings are open to members and nonmembers of INSIGHTS ASSOCIATION. Members of INSIGHTS ASSOCIATION are identified within their listing by the INSIGHTS ASSOCIATION Company Member Logo and Individual Insignia Logo .

The Code of Research Standards is enforced, and complaints of alleged unethical behavior may be filed against an INSIGHTS ASSOCIATION member company or individual who is suspected to have violated the Code. INSIGHTS ASSOCIATION members are accountable to the ethical and professional responsibilities stated in the INSIGHTS ASSOCIATION Code of Research Standards.

Refunds

Refunds will not be provided at any time for any reason for listings that are cancelled or withdrawn from Blue Book. INSIGHTS ASSOCIATION may cancel the listing of any company that violates the INSIGHTS ASSOCIATION's Code. In the event INSIGHTS ASSOCIATION cancels the listing arising from a violation of the Code, all payments made by the listing company will be forfeited.

The Insights Association (or "our" or "we") values the privacy of its members, customers, subscribers, and others who visit, share information or use services (collectively or individually, "Members") on the www.insightsassociation.org website (the "Website") and any other websites, including but not limited to bluebook.insightsassociation.org, as well as applications or services owned or operated by the Insights Association (the Website, any other websites, applications, or services directly owned, offered or operated by the Insights Association are collectively referred to as the "Services"). The Insights Association is headquartered at 1156 15th Street N.W., Suite 302, Washington DC 20005.

Please read the following Privacy Policy to understand how your personally identifiable information will be treated as you make use of the Services. By using the Services and/or sharing any of other of your information, you agree that your personally identifiable information will be utilized by the Insights Association in the United States of America where a different level of privacy protection may apply than in your own country.

The Information the Insights Association Collects

Personally, Identifiable Information. You may provide personally identifiable information to the Insights Association, including, but not limited to, your name, email address, postal mailing address, home/mobile telephone number, credit card number, and billing information (collectively "PII" or "personally identifiable information"). PII may be collected, without limitation, in connection with your registration as a member of the Insights Association, attendance (or participation as a speaker or vendor) at an Insights Association conference, receipt of electronic newsletters, participation in our certification or other training programs, or your viewing of content on the Website. In addition, you may choose to post certain personally identifiable information to your public "profile" on the Website such as email address, telephone number, mailing address, personal photos, avatars, descriptions of occupation, title, employer, interests, and related comments.

Cookies. When you visit the Website, we may send one or more cookies—small text files containing a string of alphanumeric characters—to your device. The Website uses both session cookies and performance cookies, which are persistent. A session cookie disappears after you close your browser. A persistent cookie remains after you close your browser and may be used by your browser on subsequent visits to the Website. The Insights Association collects cookies on our Web site to capture information about page visits. This information is anonymous and the Insights Association uses this information only internally - to deliver the most effective content to our visitors. The Insights Association uses analytics data and the DoubleClick cookie to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to our website. Site visitors may opt out of the DoubleClick cookie by visiting the Google advertising opt-out page or they may opt out of Google Analytics by visiting the Google Analytics opt-out page.

How the Insights Association Uses Your Information

In General. The Insights Association uses the PII that we collect so that we may provide you with the Services. For example, we will use your email address for administrative purposes such as sending you account activation, member account access, and "welcome" emails, notifying you of major Website updates, for customer service purposes, or to contact you regarding any of the activities on the Website or any other Services in which you may be participating. The Insights Association uses your email address to send you activity emails, newsletters, and notices about special events, products or services available from the Insights Association or on the Website.

Public Profiles. When you create a profile on the Website, you may post, at your option, certain personal and professional information that will be publicly displayed, or only displayed to other Members, on the Website.

Usage tracking. As described more specifically in the Cookies section above, the Insights Association tracks user traffic patterns throughout the Website, to improve the user experience and interactions of Members.

Search terms. The Insights Association may track search terms that users enter in our "Search function." We use tracking information to determine which areas of the Website users prefer. To better customize the content that is most relevant to you, we may also track what individual users read on the Website, This helps us continuously improve our offerings.

When the Insights Association Discloses Information

The Insights Association may occasionally share your PII with other organizations for marketing or promotional uses. Typically, such organizations will be affiliated with the Insights Association (such as various local or regional chapters of the Insights Association), or must themselves be members of the Insights Association. The PII may also be shared with Exhibitors at Insights Association conferences for marketing and promotional purposes. When you register as a member, you have the option to "opt-out" of any such sharing of your PII. In addition, you can also opt out of such sharing here.

We may also disclose some types of PII to certain third parties or other businesses or persons who provide web site hosting, maintenance and security services, fulfill orders, offer certain functionality, help improve or create new features on our Website, among other services that assist the Insights Association in its mission.

The Insights Association may disclose PII if required to do so by law or in the good-faith belief that such action is necessary to comply with state and federal laws or respond to a court order, judicial or other government subpoena, or warrant. In some cases, and at our sole discretion, we may make such disclosures without providing notice to you.

We also reserve the right to disclose PII that we believe, in good faith is appropriate or necessary to: take precautions against liability; protect the Insights Association from fraudulent, abusive, or unlawful uses; investigate and defend ourselves against any third-party claims or allegations; assist government enforcement agencies; protect the security or integrity of the Website; and to protect the rights, property, or personal safety of Insights Association members or other persons.

Your Choices

You may, of course, decline to share your PII with the Insights Association in which case you will not be able to fully participate (or participate at all) on the Website and the Services in general. To protect your privacy and security, we take reasonable steps to verify your identity before granting account access. However, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account/member identification at all times.

Third-party Advertisers, Links to Other Sites.

This Privacy Policy only applies to information collected through the Services. When you access other third party sites through links on the Website, for example, you do so at your own risk. These other sites are not under the Insights Association's control, and you acknowledge that the Insights Association is not responsible or liable for their information practices and/or policies. When visiting another site, you should read the site’s privacy policy and make sure that you are comfortable with its practices.

Commitment to Data Security

The Insights Association uses commercially reasonable physical, managerial, and technical safeguards to preserve the integrity and security of personally identifiable information. The Insights Association operates secure data networks protected by industry standard firewall and password protection systems.

We periodically review and enhance our security and privacy policies as necessary and only authorized individuals have access to the information provided by our users, customers, sponsors and members. HOWEVER, THIS IS NOT A GUARANTEE THAT SUCH INFORMATION MAY NOT BE ACCESSED, DISCLOSED, ALTERED, OR DESTROYED BY BREACH OF ANY OF OUR PHYSICAL, TECHNICAL, OR MANAGERIAL SAFEGUARDS.

Commitment to Children’s Privacy

Protecting the privacy of young children is especially important. For that reason, the Insights Association does not knowingly collect or maintain PII on the Website from persons under 13 years-of-age, and no part of the Website is directed to persons under 13. If you are under 13 years of age, then please do not use or access the Website at any time or in any manner. If the Insights Association learns that PII of persons less than 13-years-of-age has been collected, then the Insights Association will take the appropriate steps to delete this information.

If you are a parent or guardian who has discovered that your child has submitted his or her personal information without your permission or consent, the Insights Association will take reasonable steps to remove that information from the its database at your request. To request removal of your child's information, please send us an e-mail at membership@insightsassociation.org and be sure to include in your message the same user name, password, and e-mail address that your child submitted.

International Visitors

If you are visiting from the European Union or other regions with laws governing data collection and use that may differ from U.S. law, please note that you are transferring your personal data to the United States and by providing your personal data, you consent to that transfer.

In the Event of Merger or Sale

In the event that the Insights Association is acquired by or merged with a third-party entity, we reserve the right to transfer or assign the information we have collected from members, customers, sponsors and users as part of such merger, acquisition, sale, or other change of control.

Your Consent; Changes and Updates to this Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy may be revised periodically without further notice to you and this will be reflected by the "last modified" notice above. Please revisit this page to stay aware of any changes.
